There are many different charities involved with the SuperHalfs series, both those with guaranteed and those who don’t but who would love you to run for them on your own entry. But which one should you choose?
There are two lists to have a look at and you can access them here. There are two tabs, one for charities with guaranteed entries and one for those that are focused on getting runners to support them if they have their own entry. Some charities will be on both lists.
Click on each of the charity links and you’ll come to a page that gives you lots of information about each charity involved and how they will support you. If there is still information that you need give them a call or drop them an email, they will be keen to give you everything you need to make your decision.
If you have a cause close to your heart it probably won’t be hard to decide which charity to run for. If the specific charity you want to support (if you have your own entry) isn’t on the lists, you’ll be able to support them anyway. Just give them a call.
If you haven’t got a specific charity or cause in mind there are plenty of charities to choose from. Have a look on their pages, both on this site and their own websites and find out how they can support you as you take on the challenge of running one or more of the SuperHalfs. Charities that have guaranteed entries in the SuperHalfs events will be able to support you with fundraising and training advice and will invite you to training days across the UK. There will also be a Facebook training group managed by runners who have taken part in marathons and half marathons all over the world. Some of the charities will also have additional support for their runners that will help you get over the finish line and make your fundraising easier.
If you’re planning to run more than one event you could run for a different charity each time unless you get an entry in each event from one charity, which is possible. If you have your own entry in the events you can raise money for more than one charity each time.
Choose carefully and be really committed to the charity and the cause once you have signed up!
