Why run for us?

Every year 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. Spinal Research raises money to fund research into clinical treatments, as well as vital scientific research to better understand the injury caused, and for the devastating effects on daily living such as breathing, hand movement, and bladder and bowel control

What support will you receive?

Everyone in our team will receive a full support package including a dedicated fundraiser, personalised fundraising support, access to an exclusive training Hub (provided by GH Training), regular team e-newsletters, a Spinal Research running vest/t-shirt, race day support and heaps of encouragement, help and advice.

How to get a place?

Own Place

If you’re lucky enough to have your own entry, email the Events Team for your running vest/t-shirt and supporter pack. There is no fundraising target with your own running place, we just ask that you raise as much as you can. All the sponsorship you raise will help us fund pioneering research across the world into spinal cord injury and its life-changing effects.

Apply for a Charity Place

You're invited to join #TeamSpinal for the fantastic SuperHalfs, a special series of the best European half marathons including Lisbon, Prague, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia. Please register to secure your place in one or more of the SuperHalfs events and experience a race of a lifetime. Once you've registered we can send you a support pack with fundraising ideas and training advice.

For each half marathon is the series we ask for a registration fee of £35 and a minimum fundraising target of £500.
