Let's run and let the music play!
The Wiener Städtische Half Marathon brings together Vienna’s culture, urban energy and running spirit. In the world capital of music, the city’s rhythm is part of the experience – from music along the course to the cheers of the crowds.
Part of Vienna City Marathon weekend since 2005, the half marathon welcomes runners of all ages and ambitions.
The route takes you past the modern skyline along the Danube and the UN headquarters, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Vienna State Opera and Schönbrunn Palace. Pick up the pace on the fast, tree-lined Prater Hauptallee before racing towards the finish in the city centre.
Music is in Vienna’s DNA. On race weekend, runners join the Wiener Symphoniker to form a classical orchestra, performing together in the magnificent Golden Hall of the Musikverein – a unique meeting of music and running.
In Vienna, every run has its own rhythm. And you’ll find yours in a city that loves to move – and knows how to celebrate.
