SuperHalfs Changes an Important Rule
SuperHalfs, the European Half Marathon series, faced an enormous increase in participants in just three years – registering over 75 000 runners wishing to take on the SuperJourney.
At the same time, the six SuperRaces – Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff, and Valencia – are being ‘SOLD OUT’ in the blink of an eye.
The consequence of this unbelievable achievement?
Runners eager to complete the series within the time limit are not able to do so anymore, simply because they can’t get hold of a race entry.
That’s why SuperHalfs is making a simple but crucial change.
The SuperJourney goes from 60 MONTHS to NO TIME LIMIT.
We took out the 60-month race expiration time, so once you finish the race, it'll never expire.
SuperHalfs will help runners to get a race registration and complete the series.
Furthermore, if runners are unable to register for any of their remaining races for two years, SuperHalfs will provide them with the opportunity to register for a race they haven't run yet.
These changes will allow SuperHalfs runners to continue and complete their running journey and open the path for newcomers.
Meanwhile, the races are already working to implement new fairer registration systems in the near future, to make it less stressful for everyone trying to get a place.
